Lake Stevens City Council
Councilmember
2012 – 2019 · Seven Years

Seven years on the Lake Stevens City Council during a period of significant growth in Snohomish County. Participated in budget deliberations, land use policy decisions, utility planning, and municipal governance for a rapidly expanding community.

Developed a practical understanding of how local government budget constraints, state mandates, and community expectations intersect — experience that directly informs my current work on the Everett Planning Commission and my columns in the Herald.
